Ashley Leaving The Wilderbeats

As of January 1st, 2009, I will no longer be playing live shows with The Wilderbeats. It has been a wonderful ride, playing with Joyce Saunders and others to the most amazing fans. Working full-time for Parks Canada and living 2 hours outside of Halifax has taken its toll on my music career with The Wilderbeats.

I will continue to write and play nature songs as part of my job at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site. You can see me playing live music in the summer at the Outdoor Theatre and other venues within Keji. As well, I am continuing to write songs for a new Little Miss Moffat album, and I hope to play a few live LMM shows in the new year.

The Wilderbeats will continue on without me, with Joyce Saunders at the helm. As well, our albums will still be available at various retailers. Check back to this site for updates on Wilderbeats shows with Joyce Saunders and other fine musicians.

Who are The Wilderbeats?

The Wilderbeats are Joyce Saunders and Shannon Lynch, two Nova Scotian musicians who share a background in youth-focused environmental education. As Wilderbeats, they write and perform interactive songs about nature for the young and young-at-heart.

The Wilderbeats are supurb specimens of musical marvel with a huge following in Scotland. While there has been contraversy in the past over the credits of a Wilderbeats/WILDERBEASTS song, the WILDERBEASTS fully endorse this wonderful musical project.
